Welcome to Sirope de Fresa! I’m Pilar, the person behind this blog.
It all started about 3 years ago as a way of disconnecting from work and my master’s dissertation. After a while I’ve decided to open this blog to share my baking adventures and keep motivating myself.
Baking is not only my passion but it is becoming my job too. I make cakes and decorated biscuits for all sort of occasions and a run a market stall every Sunday at Chestnuts Markets.
I love to be present through my cakes and biscuits in important moments in someone’s life. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the face of joy with the cake or biscuits you have baked for them.
Getting a little bit more personal now…. I’m from Barcelona and I’ve been in London a little bit more than 5 years. I now live in Stock Newington, North London, with my husband Sebastian.
When I am not baking or at the market you will probably find my riding my bike, a passion I share with Sebastian and our 6 amazing bikes. If I manage to find time I also love reading and knitting, a hobby I started last winter and that I found highly addictive.
One of my biggest dreams, a part of having my own bakery of course, is to back pack around Asia. I spent two wonderful months in India with my best friend Cris few years ago, and since then I’ve always dreamt to go back.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like what you see. If you have any enquires or you want to say hi you can email me to firstname.lastname@example.org or fill in the contact form.
